abstract = "In the second half of 2013 one of the worst droughts began in the
Southeast region, especially in the state of S{\~a}o Paulo, also
extending to the year 2014. During this period the average
precipitation decreased, with irregular and little expressive
rains, causing a water crisis in the Southeast region. The
objective of this work was to analyze precipitation in the
Paran{\'a} Basin, which encompasses most of the state of. From
January 1998 to December 2014, and divided it into sub basins (
Grande, Paran{\'a}, Verde, Peixe e Outros, Parana{\'{\i}}ba ,
Paran{\'a}, Paranapanema, Amambai e Outros, Paran{\'a}, Tiete e
Outros and Paran{\'a} Igua{\c{c}}u). Estimated rainfall data
were used from the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM).
From the analysis, a precipitation reduction was verified during
the years of 2013 and 2014, when the water crisis occurred in the
Southeast Region, in almost all of the Paran{\'a} Basin, with
only the sub-basin Paran{\'a} Igua{\c{c}}u with high averages
Precipitation.",
